Double Sided Extrusion Film Laminating Machine

Double-Sided Extrusion Film Lamination Machine is a machine that enables film coating on two surfaces. Our machine is used to apply double-layer film coating on surfaces such as plastic materials, paper, and aluminum foil to achieve durability, waterproofing, aesthetic features, and other protective coatings. It is especially preferred in industries such as packaging and insulation material production.

The double main frame extrusion film complex machine unit model is an advanced machine that can complete double-sided film coating at once; this machine is among our most recommended machines. It is used to coat and laminate products that require double-sided film or multi-layer coating at once, such as milk cartons, syrup cartons, beverage cartons, and similar complex materials.

Working Principle of the Double-Sided Extrusion Film Lamination Machine

Material Preparation and Extrusion: In our machine, plastic granules (usually materials like polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), or polyamide (PA)) are loaded into extruder machines. The granules are melted at high temperatures and then extruded as two separate film layers.

Double-Sided Film Coating (Lamination): The obtained film layers are directed to the machine’s double-sided coating section. The machine applies the first plastic film onto the first surface and the second plastic film onto the second surface. This process is usually done using high temperature, pressure, and/or adhesives. The coating forms a strong bond between the film and the base material; thus, both surfaces become waterproof, durable, and aesthetically enhanced when necessary.

Cooling and Fixing: After the lamination process, both sides are cooled by cooling rollers and the coatings are solidified. This ensures the film layers strongly adhere to the surface and the lamination is properly completed.

Cutting and Shaping: After cooling, the coated material is cut to the required dimensions and converted into the final product. This product can be obtained either in rolls or cut into specific sizes.

Features of the Double-Sided Extrusion Film Lamination Machine

Double-Sided Coating: This machine has the ability to coat two separate film layers simultaneously on two surfaces. This is especially useful for applications where both sides need protection or aesthetic importance.

High-Speed Operation: Machines capable of working at high speed are suitable for large production volumes. Thus, many products can be produced within minutes.

Various Film Options: Different types of films (plastic, aluminum foil, paper film, etc.) and coating materials can be used. Plastics such as PE, PP, and PET are commonly used in food packaging. Aluminum foil is especially preferred in food and pharmaceutical packaging.

Use of Separate Film Layers: Different coating types and film materials can be used for each surface. For example, one surface can provide durability while the other can have aesthetic or insulation properties.

Energy Efficiency: Modern machines offer environmentally friendly production by consuming low energy.

Advantages of the Double-Sided Extrusion Film Lamination Machine

Simultaneous Coating of Both Surfaces: Coating both sides at the same time increases production efficiency and saves time.

Improved Durability and Protection: The coating makes both surfaces waterproof, durable, and resistant to abrasion. This feature ensures product safety, especially in packaging and transportation.

Flexibility and Versatility: Double-sided coating machines can be adapted to different materials and coating needs. They can be used in both industrial applications and commercial production.

Aesthetic Improvements: Coatings that provide visual appeal are important especially in packaging and printing sectors. Double-sided coating ensures both sides are smooth, neat, and aesthetically pleasing.

Environmentally Friendly: Double-sided coating processes can be done with recyclable materials, reducing environmental impact.

Applications of Coated Products

Packaging Industry: Used especially to provide double-sided protective coating and durability in food, beverage, and pharmaceutical packaging. It provides waterproofing and durability for food products, frozen foods, and beverages.

Textile Industry: Used to add durability and waterproofing to textile materials. For example, used in outerwear and waterproof textile products.

Automotive and Electronics: Protective coatings are produced for automotive parts or electronic devices.

Insulation and Building Materials: Used in the production of insulation materials to provide durability and protection.

Consumer Products and Household Items: Double-sided film coating can also be used in the production of household items to obtain decorative and durable surfaces.
